This is no ordinary Monday
For so many reasons. First, the unthinkable violence in Las Vegas. I remember my ex-husband, a federal agent working in counter terrorism, telling me years ago that active shooter situations were going to become a much bigger threat to us than a terrorist attack. It turns out he was so right. Within one year we’ve acquired the two biggest mass shootings in the history of the US. It’s shocking and tragic and it makes you feel unsafe outside your home. I have no words, but I needed to acknowledge it.
Then, we lost Tom Petty, one of the greatest musicians of classic rock. He was too young, and it was so unexpected.
I had planned for the second day of my 30 Day Mindset Makeover Transformation Challenge to involve turning off the news because everything out there is so negative, but that didn’t feel right. So instead, I’m inviting participants to share something positive – a quote or motivating concept – anything. So, if you’re in need of some positivity or you have something to share, I invite you to jump into the group!
And now I want to share on a more personal level why today is no ordinary Monday. Today began my 100% venture back into the world of being an entrepreneur. I’ve had multiple side businesses (like this one!) going for the past few years, but for over three years I’ve been employed full time as a business coach. My job was very autonomous, and I’ve worked from home, but the time has come for me to again pursue my goals and dreams through helping others in my own businesses.
Today was Monday, and I didn’t go to work. I traveled back from GA where I was supporting an incredible team of ladies who are going to transform lives there and create a snowball effect of health and prosperity.
I’m so excited for what’s in store. To create this life is my greatest dream. To dictate every moment of my day, my week, my month, my year and beyond is a gift I’m giving myself. It’s scary and it’s risky and it’s uncertain, but all things that are truly worth it in life are. My impact is going to be greater and my heart happier.
We get one chance to live, and choosing how we do so and how we spend our time rather than having someone else tell us what to do is an option should you choose to create it yourself. I’ve got my hands in a few incredible things. If you’ve ever dreamed of living your life by your own design, hit reply to this message and let me know. 🙂
Let’s keep lifting each other up in these dark times because as Anne Frank once said, “I keep my ideals, because in spite of everything I still believe that people are really good at heart.”
Have a beautiful week. <3
xoxo,
Nicole
